Paper Mache

Last wednesday i decided to start making Paper Mache animals with the PUNC kids at St Dunstans its been a nightmare trying to get them to dry ready for this weeks sessions so it looks like we may have to work on a new project while we try to dry them out, Even resorted to hanging them on the washing line but with this northern wether its constantly raining :/

Demesne Art sessions

I had the pleasure of doing some Arts & Crafts sessions for Demesne Community Centre last week although the turn out wasn't as good as expected (due to lack of advertising) we all still had a fantastic 3 days, we made valentine gifts and also worked on a group project recycling newspaper building a giant Birdcage which the children filled with Birds made by themselves, I would love to do this project again in other sessions I think it could work within a variety of ways with children, Teens and even adults, the birds could contain Wishes, Dreams or a way to express themselves by creating different birds which have different meanings behind them! Cant wait to do this again.

First class with St Dunstans

I was a bit nervous taking my first ever class but i needn't have been it all went really well, The children were a little shy but loved making and creating Valentine gifts for there friends, I didn't really get chance to take any photographs plus i have not had consent form signed yet but here are a couple of pictures of what my daughter made in the class :) Cant wait until the next one,

Our first sessions take place on wednesday so i have been searching the internet for some fun Valentines Day inspired crafts, i have found some brilliant bits and pieces which i will be making tomorrow to take with me to make with my Punc kids, here are some of the images i have found to inspire us, I hope they inspire you to!
